About the Gunnison-Hinsdale Early Childhood Council

Gunnison-Hinsdale ECCThe Gunnison-Hinsdale ECC was formed in the summer of 2007 with a grant from the State of Colorado. Early Childhood Councils have been formed in most communities throughout the state with the goal of enhancing and improving early childhood systems of care. The councils guide the work of these projects and are comprised of parents, community members and professionals who have an interest in early childhood. The Gunnison Hinsdale ECC has over 15 members and employs a half-time coordinator. Funding for the project is renewed annually with the state and also includes in-kind contributions from local agencies.
